About the Allie Awards
The Allie Awards
were created in 1988 with the intention of honoring those professionals
in the Event and Catering Industries for their hard work and
perseverance. Companies from around Atlanta are invited to submit an
entry of one (or more) of their events to be judged against others in
the same categories. The winners are announced at the annual Allie
Awards (similar to the
Oscars® night)
celebration in
March each year.
Corporate Events and Meetings is a member of the
following organizations:
International
Special Events Society (ISES)
ISES works to join
professionals to focus on the "event as a whole" rather than its
individual parts. The members are a part of a variety of special events
disciplines all over Atlanta, including caterers, meeting planners,
decorators, event planners, party and convention coordinators, hotel
sales managers and many more professional disciplines. The solid peer
network ISES provides helps special events professionals produce
outstanding results for clients while establishing positive working
relationships with other event colleagues.
Meeting Professionals International (MPI)
Meeting Professionals
International is the leading global association that defines and shapes
the meetings and events profession.
As members of Meeting
Professionals International, we are responsible for ensuring that the
meeting industry is held in the highest public regard throughout the
world.
Atlanta Sports
Council
The Atlanta Sports
Council promotes the value of sports growth in Atlanta and throughout
the state of Georgia by acting as an authority on the economic impact,
visibility and quality of life issues associated with sports. Its
mission is to lead, organize and support sports development with the
goal of building Atlanta's reputation as the Sports Capital of the
World.
Atlanta Metro Chamber
of Commerce
The Chamber of
Commerce is an independent, non-profit, member-funded organization that
represents the 28-county region and is operated by a staff of more than
80 people. Volunteers make up our Board of Directors and Board of
Advisors and are drawn from among Atlanta’s top leaders.
The Chamber focuses on the big issues that matter most to the business
community: creating jobs and boosting the region’s quality of life by
finding solutions in the areas of transportation, education and the
environment.
Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber offers
free-flowing channels of communication with local and state officials on
a regular basis. They facilitate the establishment of new businesses and
the expansion of existing ones, creating more paying customers to
consume more goods and services, more jobs closer to home and a more
balanced tax base. The Chamber has a strong alliance throughout the
counties and communities to create a balanced, better community for all.
